As demand in the data center market grows along with structural changes such as development in IT technology and increase in data traffic, interest in data center as an alternative investment option in the commercial real estate market is also increasing.

While domestic data center market in the past observed slow supply with demand concentrated around telecommunications companies, recent years have seen accelerated growth in the market with the entry of overseas data center operators and investors since 2019. However, information about data centers is still limited with different characteristics compared to other commercial real estate sectors.
