CBRE Vietnam has announced the result of a survey on the growth of hotel business in recent time, in which Vietnam is making its name as a position on Asia tourism map. In accordance, occupancy rate of hotels in major cities and tourism spots achieve good growth. Robert McIntosh, Executive Director of Asia Pacific, CBRE Hotels commented that within the South-East Asian regional context, Vietnam has proven itself to be an up-and-coming travelling destination reflecting through strong occupancy rates in HCMC (65%) and Hanoi (75%) as of June 2016. Hanoi in particular has reached a 5-year record of occupancy, rivaling Bangkok in topping the chart for regional occupancy. CBRE said that if the tourism market in H2-2016 still maintains the upward growth like in H1-2016, the whole year will see very positive results.
