2017 was the year of booming in term of supply and trade volume of condotel segment. This product series is forecast to continue to be lively in upcoming time thanks to the strong growth of tourism. However, experts still note about risks of this segment. Aside from lacking legal framework, the unplanned development may cause condotel to face oversupply, affecting the feasibility of exploitation. Duong Thuy Dung, Senior Head of CBRE Vietnam, said that condotel buyers are still mainly investors who buy to hire, so what they prioritize more than legality is profitability.
