HO CHI MINH CITY, the first week of February 2020—CBRE Vietnam Co., Ltd has been officially appointed by Dai Quang Minh Real Estate Co., Ltd as an exclusive leasing management agent for Socar Mall—the first large-scale shopping mall in Sala New Urban Area, District 2, HCMC.
The signing ceremony took place in Sala Urban Area with the participation of Mr. Tran Quang Trinh, the Deputy General Director of Dai Quang Minh Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company, and Ms. Dang Phuong Hang, the Managing Director of CBRE Vietnam Co., Ltd.

Socar Mall is being developed by Dai Quang Minh Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company—the leading investor in the development of urban infrastructure and real estate in Vietnam, under Thaco Group. Besides residential real estate projects, Dai Quang Minh also invests in and develops mixed-use complexes including shopping malls, convention halls, offices and apartments
Socar Mall is being completed in Q4 and will tentatively open in 2020.
Signing Ceremoney at Socar Mall—Sala
Socar Mall is situated in a prime location at the intersection of Mai Chi Tho and Nguyen Co Thach—two artificial main roads—so it can enhance the district’s connection with Ho Chi Minh City’s downtown and catchment areas. In the future, Socar Mall will set itself apart as a flagship shopping mall that will reposition the retail market in District 2 since it is situated in a developing vibrant area created by these two main routes.
Being a high-end shopping mall, Socar Mall has a modern and unique design. With a net lease area of approximately 40,000 sq. m. and comprising five commercial floors, Socar Mall integrates many shopping, entertainment and food facilities: The shopping mall is home to many leading domestic and international fashion and cosmetic brands, the restaurants in the food court serve high-class cuisine, and there is a cinema, a hypermarket, and a 900 sq. m. event hall, which can be used for social gatherings within the community.

Socar Mall is part of the mixed-use Sofic Office Tower complex (20 floors with 21,000 sq. m.) operating since August 2019.
