According to Dennis Ng Teck Yow – Deputy Director of Gamuda Land Vietnam, said that his company is struggling seeking for clear land fund in Vietnam. For housing and commercial property projects, foreign investors often try to get clear land funds that have completed compensation procedure, finished clearance, land usage right, already-paid land usage fees, and good development planning. However, such projects are very rare. In order to access lad fund, foreign investors need to cooperate with domestic firms. However, their difference in market view cause another difficulty. Nguyen Hoai An, Director of Research and Consultancy of CBRE Vietnam, said that foreign investors pay attention on many factors when invest in Vietnam property market, such as investment effectiveness, listed assets, legal environment, transaction methods, ownership right, usage right, market database.
