According to a recent market research from CBRE Vietnam, HCMC’s retail market has seen more active events during Q2 2015. A special mention would be SC VivoCity, developed by a joint-venture between Mapletree Vietnam Management Consultancy Co., Ltd. (Singapore) and Saigon Co.op Investment Development JSC, opened in May 2015 with 72,000 sm GFA. Moreover, with rising interest in the market, there are increasing numbers of retailers planning to enter Vietnam across all segments. Along with development of Metro Line No. 1, retail market, especially along Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, is expected to change significantly in the next few years. From CBRE’s observant, decentralization trend has been stronger in 2H 2015 to access to mass market.
