According to CBRE Vietnam’s report, HCMC in 2016 recorded 3,062 villas and townhouses from 13 projects, up 40pct y-o-y. This segment’s sales prices also increase by 2.5-15pct y-o-y, depending on locations. This report shows that finished villa/townhouse segment in HCMC in 2016 broke the record not only in term of new supply, but also sales prices. Commenting on this segment in 2017 and following years, CBRE said that with the current growth rate, many major investors will expand investment in areas that have not yet been strongly exploited. Therefore, there will not be many direct competitions.
