According to CBRE Vietnam’s Q4 2016 report, HCMC recorded no new property-for-hire supply. Meanwhile, 2016 had over 110,000 newly-founded companies which seek after offices-for-lease to do business. Thus, in 2017, the already-scarce property-for-hire market will become even scarcer in supply. Duong Thuy Dung, Director of Research and Consulting, CBRE Vietnam, said that average office rental prices are expected to grow evenly with an average growth rate of 1.5pct. Prices of B Grade office are expected to become more and more competitive, thanks to upcoming increase in supply of both A Grade and B Grade.
