Bitexco’s super project on the golden land of the central Saigon ‘moving’ to implementation

HCMC People’s Committee has had a working session with Bitexco Group and other relevant departments about the implement of projects on Nguyen Cu Trinh Street, District 1. Nguyen Cu Trinh quadrilateral area (also known as Ma Lang) has an area of 8.2 ha bounded by Nguyen Trai – Cong Quynh – Nguyen Cu Trinh – Tran Dinh Xu. This project used to be a project of RESCO, but it was transferred to Bitexco in 2007 due to some reasons. The project has been expanded to 8.2 ha which covers more than 1,600 households, so it has to take a long time for clearance and compensation.

Foreign giants overshadows Vietnamese movie market

There are 5 leading enterprises holding 98% of Vietnamese movie market; therein, three biggest brand names are foreign companies. 98% market share of these enterprises can be classified as CJ CGV (43%), Lotte (30%), Platinum (10%), Galaxy (9%) and BHD (6%). The rise of foreign enterprises in Vietnam is due to the taste of consumers when these companies can bring “blockbuster” foreign movies which are attractive to the youth.

USD 3.4 billion of FDI poured to Vietnam in the first two months, increasing 21.5%

Foreign Investment Agency, Ministry of Planning and Investment has said that in the first two months of 2017, new total registered capital increased and capital contribution for purchasing shares were USD 3.4 billion, increasing to 21.5% y-o-y. As of February 20th, the country had 22,904 projects in force with the total registered capital of USD 297 billion. Accumulated capital of projects with government’s investment is estimated at USD 156.35 billion. The real estate sector continues to attract FDI. There has been USD 52.4 billion pouring to property sector, accounting for 17.6% of total investment capital.

Vinalines to develop logistics centre in the capital​
Vietnam Investment Review

Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) plans to develop a large-scale logistics centre in the capital as part of its development strategy for 2020. The centre, which will connect major seaports such as Hai Phong, Dinh Vu and Lach Huyen through the Dinh Vu inland waterway system, is expected to meet rising demand for container transport in the north while helping reduce transportation costs and environmental pollution. It is slated to be built at Phu Dong Port in Gia Lam District.

FLC planning to pour VND 5,000 billion in Nghe An for a resort covering 500ha

On 19/02, Mr. Dang Tat Thang, Head of Investment Deputy of FLC Group, informed that FLC Group had signed a memorandum of understanding with Nghe An Province’ People Committee. According to this MOU, FLC Group would invest a luxury eco-resort covering 500ha under an amount of VND5,000 billion. Right after the conference, FLC would cooperate with international consultants to investigate and do planning for further steps.

Defence ministry hands 20 ha for Tan Son Nhat airport expansion

The Ministry of Defence on February 21 signed the minutes on the handover of nearly 20 hectares of military land at Tan Son Nhat International Airport to the Transport Ministry to enable the airport expansion. The upgrading of the apron area on the transferred land with begin immediately with the goal of adding 30-35 new aircraft parking positions to the current 52 before the Lunar New Year 2018 to tackle congestion at the airport.

Two years from now there will be an expressway route in the West of Mekong Delta

Deputy Minister of Ministry of Transport – Nguyen Nhat has asked investors and contractors to push up the construction schedule to complete two projects constituting expressway in the West of Mekong Delta within the next two years. In particular, the project connecting areas in Mekong Delta consists of Vam Cong Bridge, Cao Lanh Bridge and two bridge’s connection routes with the toal length of 28km that has been constructed since October, 2010. The investment capital for this project is VND 19,500 billion. When the project will be completed, it helps Tay Nguyen, the Southeast areas to connect with Southwest provinces, Kieng Giang and Ca Mau.

Hanoi: Thousands of people in North Tu Liem  will cheer up for the construction of this road

The Hanoi People’s Committee agreed to lengthen Nguyen Co Thach Street as a regional street, which is 0.45km long, connecting Ho Tung Mau intersection to Goldmark City. The road is expected to complete the infrastructure system, the landscape of the area, and to solve traffic congestion during rush hour.

Thanh Hoa is building a park costing VND 2,400 billion

Thanh Hoa’s People Committee is taking survey on its residents about building a massively unique park with a total investment of VND2,360 billion in the center of the city. The park has two design options. Option 1, covering 527,622sqm, stretching 1-33 storey, has no open spare. Instead, the park includes multi-family temple, viewing tower, major Vietnamese village, service area, ..In contrast, option 2 covers 501,467sqm and has a square. The 2 options are both investigated to demonstrate the characteristics of Thanh Hoa’s culture highlights. As expected by investors, annual operating costs for this cultural park fall between VND375 billion, while VND540 billion will be collected from ticket sales and other sources. Currently, Thanh Hoa is calling for experienced groups to construct, operate, and manage the architecture efficiently.

Giants like Vingroup, Sungroup jump into the center of leisure real estate

Quang Ninh is pushing up its infrastructure system with thousands of billions investment, making it the hottest destination for leisure property. This happens while leisure property is rising in Ha Long, the number of visitors is increasing every year, and Ha Long doesn’t have as much high-quality products as it supposes to. Within the last 2 years, infrastructure system in Quang Ninh has been strongly focused. Ha Long – Hai Phong highway, Bach Dang bridge, Van Don international airport are in progress. In the meantime, more than 100 property projects have been invested in the province with over VND100,000 billion. Accordingly, Vingroup and Sungroup invested VND30,000 billion, FLC with VND3,400 billion, Mon Bay ò HD Mon Holdings with VND5,000 billion.
