Real estate firms dominate bond issuance in January

SSI’s statistics showed that real estate firms issued bonds worth VND7.36 trillion (US$317.2 million) in January, accounting for 55 per cent of the total value of corporate bonds issued in the market.



EU Parliament approves landmark trade pact with Vietnam

The E.U.-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) was voted in favor by 401 European Union lawmakers. Vietnam Airlines has inked an agreement with Singapore-based ST Engineering Aerospace (STEA) to explore a joint venture doing airframe maintenance work. The venture, to be set up using Vietnam Airlines facilities at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport and HCMC’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport, would provide airframe maintenance, repair, and overhaul services to the national flag carrier and other airlines

Vietnam’s Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical (NSRP) is offering a gasoil cargo for export for the first time, a source with the refinery said on Thursday. NSRP produced 4.6 million tonnes of petroleum fuel in 2019, its first year of commercial operation, reducing Vietnam’s reliance on foreign petroleum imports.
