Vietravel to launch new airline in Vietnam come 2020

Vietnam’s Vietravel Airlines will begin operations next year, making it the sixth domestic airline to launch in one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets, according to a Reuters report. Vietravel Airlines, owned by Vietnam’s tour operator Vietravel, will start with three to four leased planes and expects to place an order for Airbus SE or Boeing Co narrow-body jets at the Singapore Airshow in February, which will be scheduled for delivery within five years, chief executive Vu Duc Bien told Reuters in an interview.




Tui Blue to debut in Vietnam come 2020

Tui Group is stepping up the expansion of its flagship hotel brand in Asia with its first Tui Blue property in Vietnam, which will be launched in cooperation with Vietnam-based joint venture partner TMG Group. Slated to open in March 2020, the 318-room Tui Blue Nam Hoi An is situated in a beachfront location on the Tam Tien beach on the central coast of Vietnam. Holidaymakers can combine their stay with a visit to the coastal town and UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site Hoi An.



Saigon plans $292 million underground shopping complex


A VND6.4 trillion ($292 million) underground shopping complex near the iconic Ben Thanh Market is scheduled to begin operations in 2021. The complex will be located next to the Ben Thanh underground station, part of the city's upcoming 20-kilometer metro line number 1, Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien. It is scheduled to begin operations in late 2021, just as work on the line is completed.




$500 million Saigon Sports City to be started next month

The $500 million Saigon Sports City will finally be started next month after a prolonged administrative Odyssey, according to Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee. Accordingly, the developers Singapore Keppel Land and Keppel Urban Solutions (KUS) will have six months starting from September to compose the 1/500 detailed planning of the main construction elements such as apartment units, schools, the trade, service, and office centre, sport facilities, the stadium, parks and inner lakes, and the transport system.
